Eagle View’s Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament will Support Their Wee Care Program

Share

Eagle View Community Health System’s annual golf tournament will be held Saturday, June 3rd at Gibson Woods Golf Course with tee-off time at 8 am. Funds raised during the tournament will support the Wee Care Program, explains Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator Emily Higgins:

“We would come across these pediatric dental patients who for some reason needed to get their care done at another facility that does specialized care such as putting them under to complete the care and that is for many different reasons. When the dentist would tell the parents that they need to refer them to a pediatric dentist who can better help them get the procedures done that they need, and find out that the only one that takes Medicaid is in Chicago. If they can’t drive that three and a half hours, then they have to go somewhere locally that doesn’t accept Medicaid and they are paying out of pocket for these procedures. We saw that need and we developed this program where if there is a need for an Eagle View pediatric dental patient who needs that care, they can apply and we will help cover the cost of a one-time service for them at a local dentist’s office.”
