After two years of remote learning, Zoom calls, and a pandemic that changed our field forever, Regional Superintendent of Schools Jodi Scott and the Regional Office of Education #33 are honored to host the third annual Excellence in Education Banquet to celebrate educators in the Henderson, Knox, Mercer, and Warren Counties.

The banquet will be held on May 11, 2023, at The Vault at Reserve Artisan Ales in Galesburg, IL.

The purpose of this banquet is to celebrate excellence in education in our region. This event honors Board of Education members, school support staff, teachers, administrators, and retiring educators. Attending the event will be approximately 150 educators representing all nine districts in the ROE #33 region.

The following were identified and will receive recognition at the Excellence in Education banquet:

  • Retiring Educators with 20+ years of service
  • Retiring Support Staff with 20+ years of service
  • Board of Education member with 12+ years of service, including retiring after 12+ years
  • Honoree in Education- Educator Award for Teachers and Administrators
  • Honoree in Education- Support Staff Award for non-certified positions

There will also be regional Excellence in Education Awards given by ROE #33. Our regions’ school districts will nominate certified and non-certified educators to be eligible for this award. A team at the Regional Office will then determine the winners of this award. We hope this will become a coveted award to demonstrate true excellence in education in our region.
