The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a practice test for the Illinois Physical Fitness Standards (POWER TEST). This is a practice test only.

The test will be given on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 at 2:00pm at the West Central High School (1514 State Highway 94, Biggsville, IL 61418). The sit ups, sit and reach, and bench press will be done in the school’s weight room. The bench press will be done with free weights. The run will either be done on the old high school track around the football field, which is cinder/grass or around the campus on the pavement, depending on weather.

The Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for full and part-time Sheriff’s Deputies, Corrections Deputies, and Telecommunicators.

If you would like to participate in the practice test and/or apply to work at the Sheriff’s Office, please contact Chief Deputy David Staley or Sheriff Matthew Link at our office, 309-867-4291.
