Western IL Museum to Host Second Generations Over Dinner Program

Share

MACOMB- The Western Illinois Museum is pleased to host our second Generations Over Dinner, a global invitation to bring people together for a meaningful multi-generational conversation while sharing a meal. The potluck dinner will be held on Sunday, July 23rd from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the Western Illinois Museum. The dinner is free and the cost is participation. To encourage participation from different generations, registration is recommended.

The Generations Over Dinner program is intended to inspire meaningful conversations across generations by modeling and creating an experience that connects and values all perspectives across the age continuum. Guests are encouraged to listen deeply to each other, speak vulnerably, and make sure everyone has equal time to share. At the dinner hosted by the Museum, each table will seat six people and include as many different generations as possible. The focus of the conversation at the dinner will be “friendship” and a designated person will guide the conversation with a few questions designed to foster discussion.
