Michael David Louck, age 44, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away at 11:05 AM on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 25, 1978 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of James and Sherry (Hinshaw) Louck. Michael attended schools in Henderson County and graduated from Union High School with the Class of 1996. Michael was self employed, owning his own masonry business. He also worked in scrapping. Michael loved to shoot pool, fishing, motorcycles, and golfing at the former Hend-Co-Hills golf course. He was a member of High Point Church in Monmouth, Illinois, where he was a member of the praise band. Michael was quite the drummer and enjoyed playing.
Michael is survived by his parents, Jim and Sherry Louck of Oquawka, IL, his sister, Babbie (J.R. Brown) Porter of Oquawka, IL, his brother, Bill (Elizabeth Bundy) Louck of Oquawka, IL, one niece, Halee Porter, three nephews, Payne Porter, Miles Brown, and James Louck, III, all of Oquawka, IL. Also surviving Mike is his beloved dog “Princess”. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, nephew James, and aunts and uncles.
A funeral service for Michael Louck is planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Oquawka Cemetery.
