MDH Announces First Baby of 2024

MACOMB, Ill. – The McDonough District Hospital Obstetrics Department welcomed the first baby of 2024 on Friday (Jan. 5). The family was presented a congratulatory “First Baby of the Year” gift basket from the MDH Obstetrics staff, including Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce gift certificates.

Walker Joe Raymond was born at 5:41 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 19 inches. He is the son of Matt and Sarah Raymond, and younger brother of Wyatt, Watson, and Waylon.

Dr. Nicholas Viyuoh delivered the first baby.

In the Obstetrics Department at MDH you receive personalized care and attention from highly trained, experienced staff in a warm, home-like setting. Three board certified Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a Certified Nurse Midwife, and women’s health nurse practitioner care for patients from pregnancy through childbirth and beyond.
