Galesburg Bowling Alley Owner Says he Found Racist Graffiti

Share

There’s an investigation into what police are calling racist graffiti at the bowling alley in Galesburg.  Michael Spinks, who is black, says he found ‘Get out,’ and then a racial slur painted on the wall of his skating rink The Skate Palace Sunday morning.  Spinks says he’s trying to restore the rink, and make it a safe place for families.  He says he never expected to find a racial slur on the wall.  Galesburg Police say they are looking into it, and Galesburg mayor yesterday said hate has no place in his city.
