Monmouth-Roseville Titan Baseball Heating Up with the Weather

Story by Kadin Rogers

The Monmouth-Roseville Titans baseball team is currently in the midst of a three-game winning streak in this early part of the April month. After back to back losses to Galesburg and Macomb to start the month, the Titans got the streak started at the TBK Sports Complex in Bettendorf over the weekend with a 9-2 victory over the Riverdale Rams. Monmouth-Roseville has so far continued that momentum into this week, securing a 14-7 Monday win over the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers in Prophetstown, and a 13-0 shutout win over Knoxville on the road on Tuesday. The Titans will now focus on a slightly less busy upcoming week, as M-R has just 3 games in the next 7 days.

Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Wednesday, Titan head coach Jordan Ball says this week will give the Titans a chance to catch their breaths and practice, but they will work to keep their mid-season momentum going.

Monmouth-Roseville returns home to take on Erie-Prophetstown at Sunny Lane Field on Thursday. For the full interview with Coach Ball, visit the Sports Podcast section.
