Cheryl K. Wilson 66, of Gilson, Illinois died Monday May 27, 2024 at her home.

Cheryl was born on April 13, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa to Kenneth and Pamela Bechtel. She attended school in Boone, Iowa, and she later went on to work in the home health industry.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Cole (Samantha Wetterow) Wilson of Gilson Illinois; one granddaughter, Myra; and her three sisters Cathy, Carol, and Carla. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, William Blickem of Knoxville, Illinois; and her parents.

Cheryl enjoyed baking, and caring for those who were close to her. Cheryl welcomed everyone with open arms and always went above and beyond to make sure those whom she loved were well taken care of. She had a big heart, and enjoyed spending time with her son and close friends, or as she would call them, “Her extended family”.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory have been entrusted with the arrangements. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
