Mr. Kelly L. “Blade” Healey, 54, died Monday, September 23, 2024, at his home in Galesburg, Illinois.

He was born February 8, 1970, in Galesburg to Willard G. “Bill” and Marlene J. (Brodrick) Healey.  He married Roxanna Davis on August 3, 1996, in Galesburg. 

Surviving are two sons, Bricyn (and Sarai) Healey of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and Blayne Healey of Galesburg, a brother, Shane Irons of Dade City, Florida, four sisters, Cathy Colvin of Littleton, Colorado, Julie Irons of Galesburg, Sheryl Healey of Knoxville, Illinois, and Tammy (and Steve) Leaf of Knoxville, and a grandson, Zebadiah Healey.  He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Kelly graduated from Galesburg High School in 1988 where he played on the Illinois state champion baseball team.  He continued his education and played baseball for Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg and Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee.  He was a project manager at Butler Manufacturing Company in Galesburg and later was a switchman/conductor for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for several years.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends in a game of Bags. 

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2024, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Director and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel.  Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  Kurt Stewart will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
