Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest

On October 22, 2024 at approximately 2:00 A.M, Knox County Sheriff’s Office Deputies initiated a traffic stop with a white SUV in the area of IL Route 116 and IL Route 41.

Located inside the vehicle, was a loaded 9mm pistol with a full magazine, a backpack containing packaged methamphetamine and cocaine, a scale, and raw cannabis. Further investigation led Deputies to identifying that the firearm located was stolen.

The individual that was in possession of the items located was placed under arrest and transported to the Knox County Jail.

Latrell Patterson 24 y/o (B/M) was booked with the following charges:

Unlawful Use/Possession Weapon by a Felon

Possession of a Stolen Firearm

Armed Violence

Delivery/Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
