Mary Anne Johnson, age 77, of Tuscon, Arizona, formerly of Raritan, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Cascades Of Tuscon.  She was born June 6, 1946 in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of James Donald and Kathryn Wilsie Tulley Roche.  On December 31, 1978, she married Jerry Ray Johnson in Abingdon, Illinois.

Mary Anne worked for Protexall in Galesburg for several years, and as a clerk for Costco in Tuscon for twenty two years.

Survivors include her husband of Tuscon, two brothers: Dwaine (JoElla) Roche of Macomb, IL, and Terry (Lynne) Roche of Robinson, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church near Raritan, with Fr. Tim Hepner as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  A Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Monday, followed by visitation with the family from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst.  A memorial fund has been established for the Alzheimer’s Association.  Please visit Mary Anne’s obituary at banksandbeals.com to leave a condolence.
