Tammy J. Lefort, 61, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

She was born May 13, 1963, in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Everet D. and Patricia J. (Albert) Talley. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1981.

Tammy worked at Country Companies Insurance in Monmouth and later at Dick Blick in Galesburg. She enjoyed cookouts, church, sprint car racing, and spending time at the river.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessica (Nathan) Shook of Peoria, IL; step-daughter, Sara (Chris) Ebert of Raritan, IL; step-son, Allen (Amy) Pettett of Porter, TX; step-grandchildren, Bradley (Shawnee) Sheehan of Burlington, IA, Michelle Sheehan of Monmouth, IL, Aunna (Tyler) Lewis-Bresnahan of Moline, IL, and Kayne Bayless of Raritan, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will happen at a later date. Memorials may be made to Tammy Lefort Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
