Joyce L. Lee, age 93, formerly of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 9:30 am on October 4, 2024 at the Regent of Burnsville in Burnsville, Minnesota. Joyce was born on October 17, 1930 in Alexis, Illinois and is the daughter of Melvin and Iola Laughead McBride. She was raised in Alexis and attended area schools and the Viola area schools. Joyce married Robert L. Lee on September 10, 1950 in Alexis, Illinois and he preceded her in death in February of 2021. Joyce has been a stay at home Mom for most of her life and has been a member of the Investing Club in Monmouth, while living here. Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Donna Ritenour and Bill of Bloomington, Minnesota and Laura Preston and Doug of Maple Grove, Minnesota. Her son survives, Mark Lee and Billie Zipple of Blaine, Minnesota. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jessica Fu and Jason of Blaine, Minnesota, Aaron Lee and Diane of Savage, Minnesota, Drew Preston of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Kelly Jones and Dan of Delano, Minnesota. There are four great grandchildren also surviving her. One sister of Joyce’s survives, Juanita Rowen of Florence, Kentucky. She is preceded in her death by her parents and three brothers. 

Cremation has been accorded Joyce in Minnesota and her family plans to return her ashes to be interred in the Alexis Cemetery on Saturday June 21, 2025 at 11:00 am.
