The Turnbull Heritage Museum is now open in Monmouth at 301 South Main Street and all week long, John Turnbull is hosting an Open House to share the history and artifacts in celebration of his father:

“My father’s birthday was October 25th of 1916. It was all because of him, because of his father and grandmother, and because of my great-grandparents, David and Ada, that came here and started this place in 1884. I don’t take a lot of credit for it, I take credit for following in and having them teach me a lot about the history of what we have done, what the society has wanted and asked for, and how we have tried to respond.”

John served the Monmouth community for nearly 50 years as the Funeral Director of Turnbull Funeral Home and now continues his family’s 140-year tradition through the Turnbull Heritage Museum.
