On 10/31/25 Macomb Police received numerous reports of burglaries to motor vehicles throughout the community as well as multiple stolen vehicles. A subsequent investigation led to the identification of a male juvenile suspect who was located at his home. A search warrant was executed on the residence which led to the recovery of multiple stolen items and contraband. After consulting with the McDonough County State Attorney, the suspect is being charged with multiple counts of vehicular burglary and weapons offenses. This is an ongoing investigation, and additional arrests are anticipated.
The Macomb Police Department was assisted by the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office, the Illinois State Police, and the McDonough County State Attorney’s Office. We would also like to thank the Citizens of Macomb for their vigilance and cooperation and remind them that securing their vehicles greatly reduces their vulnerability.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
