In the upcoming Primary Election in Illinois, Warren County residents will elect a new sheriff. One of the four republican candidates on the ballot will be Jason Horner, who is currently a Sergeant with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. Horner lays out his goals if elected the next Sheriff of Warren County:
“From my conversations with people, I have noticed that people are both worried and excited about the new jail. They want a sheriff that runs a tight operation, respects their tax dollars, and supports the people doing the work. My goals have been the same and in my opinion very practical, keep good deputies, train them well, and run the office efficiently, because response times, jail safety, and public trust all come from that,” states Horner.
“I am proud to have already been a part of some of the improvements through grants, equipment upgrades, better scheduling that gives deputies more family time, and pay improvements through negotiations. Those changes happen because myself and others in Warren County did the work. I would continue that leadership in my term as sheriff,” Horner adds.
Primary Election Day in Illinois is on Tuesday, March 17th.
