Hickory Ridge Concerts welcomes Grammy nominated musician and songwriter Dave Rudolf to our stage on Saturday, February 21st at 7:00 pm at the historic Ellisville Opera House in Ellisville, IL. Dave is a long-time performer and a multi-award-winning singer/songwriter who just released his 46th album. He has been widely acclaimed for his powerful voice, intricate guitar work, and downright humorous stage presence. He is a rare blend of musicianship and comedy who presents a fascinating array of musical characters with a wit that is both ingratiating and disarming.
Described as a “slightly weird, super talented, and mega versatile entertainer” Dave performs a delightful array of rollicking tunes with clever lyrics but it’s his incredible rapport with the audience that sets him a part from other performers. He is an award-winning children’s author with 3 children’s books, wrote for Disney, did a TV pilot for the All-New Captain Kangaroo as well as a 15-time nominee for Entertainer of the Year awards from NACA (The National Association for Campus Activities). He’s shared the stage with The Beach Boys, The Everly Brothers, The Mamma and Pappas, Steve Goodman, John Hartford and The Smother Brothers among countless others.
The Hickory Ridge Concert Series is hosted by singer-songwriter Chris Vallillo. Concerts are usually (but not always) held on the 3rd Saturday of the month and begin at 7:00 p.m. with the doors opening at 6:00 p.m. The Ellisville Opera House is a second story venue however they do now have an elevator and is air conditioned. Coffee, drinks, and a variety of desserts are available during intermission. There is an admission charge of $10.00 per adults with children under 12 free.
