It is just the second year of fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students forming the United Intermediate School. Principal Nicole Cole shares two new adventures they have started with the students:
“Instead of having a holiday concert, this spring we are going to have a spring musical. Our Music Teacher Mrs. Bushong has been collaborating with our Librarian Mrs. Koerner, and Ms. Wood as well to bring our band into it, so in May, the first week we will be doing a musical. A couple of different productions of it so that all of our students will be involved in that in some way. So, we are excited to see that,” Cole says.
“Our Young Authors are also turning in their stories to be judged, and we created what we call the ‘Stormy Award,’ so we made it into a red-carpet event. The students help present the awards to the those who are winning. That is a fun event that will be coming up at the end of April,” adds Cole.
