The Orpheum Theatre has been a staple in the Galesburg community since 1915, bringing a diverse blend of music, movies, dance, and theatre to the stage not only for adults, but also local youth. Executive Director Andrew Driscoll informs through their Youth Entertainment Series, area youth are able to experience a variety of opportunities:

“This is a program that has been part of The Orpheum for almost 20 years at this point. It is donor supported and then also sponsored in part by the Galesburg District 205, who this year wrote a grant to the Illinois Arts Council to support the program. It gives performance opportunities to all the area school kids. It gives a lot of first opportunities to young learners of how you interact and engage and behave in a large group setting like a theater, but it is also giving those magical experiences that they have. We are focused on expanding that program as well.”

The Orpheum Theatre is coming off a record breaking 2025 as they welcomed over 30,000 guests.
