On Friday, April 10th, the Recharge Teen Center will host their Annual Quarter Auction Fundraiser at the Monmouth American Legion. Jess Ferguson, Assistant Director at Recharge, explains the details and a new addition to this year’s Quarter Auction:
“We are partnering again this year with Lori Walters’ class from Monmouth College. They are a communications class and each year they take a semester and take on a project for us. We really want to challenge and see what businesses or individuals can get creative with their baskets this year. The last couple of years the themed baskets seem to be what people really get excited about,” says Ferguson.
“In the past we have just had the regular paddles where you pay an admission fee and that gets you one paddle, which allows you then to place your quarters to bid on each item. This year we are going to offer something called the “super paddle.” You will actually be able to pay a flat fee and that will allow your “super paddle” to bid on every single item without throwing quarters in each time,” Ferguson adds.
Doors will open at 5 pm for the Recharge Teen Center’s Quarter Auction Fundraiser at the Monmouth American Legion with bidding starting at 6 pm on Friday, April 10th.
