MONMOUTH, ILL. (03/24/2026) The Monmouth College men’s and women’s basketball teams combined to have six student-athletes named Division III Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) on Tuesday. To qualify for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least sophomore standing, have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and participate in at least 90% of their teams games or start at least 66% of their games.

The women’s team placed three seniors on the All-District team and all are 3-time selections. Allie Hoy (Woodland, Illinois), Averi Rangel (Moline, Illinois) and Kynlee Stearns (Gilson, Illinois) earned the honor for the women’s team again this season.

The men’s team also had a 3-time selection with senior Kyle Taylor (Moline, Illinois). Senior Jason Huber (Carpentersville, Illinois) is a repeat selection and senior Payton Crims (Alsip, Illinois) is a first-time selection.

The Scots had 17 Academic All-District selections in the fall and now have 23 for the 2025-26 academic season. The next award announcement will be for swimming on April 7.
