The City of Galesburg is pleased to announce upcoming changes to the public transportation Blue Route, effective May 11, 2026. These updates follow recommendations from the Traffic Advisory Committee to improve safety, accessibility, and passenger convenience.

As part of the revised route, the Blue Route will now include closer drop-off locations at O.N. Custer Park and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)—two destinations frequently requested by transit patrons.

“These adjustments reflect our continued commitment to listening to our community and improving transit service where it matters most,” said Kraig Boynton, Transit Manager.

A map depicting the new route and stop locations is attached. Live maps, in the app and online, will continue to display the current route until the changes take effect on May 11th, at which time they will populate with the updated route information.

In addition to these enhancements, riders are reminded that, for the safety and efficiency of all routes, buses will only pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops, bus benches, and bus shelters. Official stop locations are easily identifiable as colored circles on the Passio GO mobile app and website.

To stay informed about the latest route updates, service notices, and real-time bus tracking, passengers are encouraged to download the Passio GO app or visit https://passiogo.com and select the City of Galesburg.
