According to Operations Director Ken Helms, The City of Monmouth has received a grant from Congressman Eric Sorensen to continue their lead service line replacement project:

“This is another part of the stage of lead service line replacements that the City is doing throughout town. This one was funded by a grant from Congressman Sorensen. They went out for multiple bids. Advanced Plumbing and Mechanical were awarded the single bid for it. Advanced has already been out doing a lot of potholing and our department has too and also doing initial research. The bid was around $38,000.”

With the awarded funds, Helms calculates around 90 lead service lines will be completed across the City of Monmouth.
