The Monmouth College Fighting Scots Society Golf Outing is quickly approaching, with this year’s outing set for June 12th at Gibson Woods Golf Course. The outing benefits Fighting Scots athletics, and Troy Hippen, Associate Director of Annual Fund and Fighting Scots Giving, says this year’s fundraising focus is on upgrades to the athletic training room.
“This year we’ve really focused a lot on fundraising for athletic training room updates and enhancements. Bob Foster is our athletic trainer on campus, along with Callie Elliott, and they are fantastic. They are what make our athletic programs so good because they are so fantastic at their jobs. We’ve been fundraising all year to get them enhancements, so our Fighting Scots will be bigger, stronger, faster, and back out on the field for competition.”
Hippen says past fundraising efforts have helped complete upgrades to the softball diamond, along with new turf and track improvements at April Zorn Memorial Stadium.
The Fighting Scots Society Golf Outing will take place June 12th at Gibson Woods Golf Course. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the outing set to start at 11.
