Story by Parker Cassidy

Monmouth-Roseville softball has officially wrapped up their season after falling to Erie-Prophetstown 10-3 in the regional quarterfinals.

The Titans finish the year with a 5-19 record and will lose two seniors from this year’s squad in Hannah Stokes and Olivia Register.

That means Monmouth-Roseville will return several starters next season, and with the creation of the junior high softball program, Head Coach Jarrod Hippen says he’s excited about what’s ahead.

Hippen, who is also the coach for the junior high softball team, says he is expecting around 15 to 20 girls for the program, which will begin their second season in August.
