The City of Monmouth will be holding a public information meeting on Tuesday, June 23rd to discuss the proposed improvements of the 200 blocks of North and South Main Street. Operations Director Ken Helms reports Hutchison Engineering representatives will be present:
“This is a grant project that we have received funds to push forward with for the 200 blocks of North Main and South Main. What this is going to be is redoing the sidewalks, adding some greenscaping to it, and angled parking. This is just an extension of the downtown renovation,” says Helms.
“That meeting is going to be on June 23rd from 4 to 6 pm at City Hall. We will have our engineers on site. They will have all their displays and be there to answer anybody’s questions about what the progress is going to look like,” Helms adds.
According to Helms, funds for the improvements of the 200 blocks of North and South Main Street are already secured.
