Steven Craig “Haney” Inghram, age 77, of Media, Illinois, passed away at 4:56 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born October 18, 1948 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Willard G. “Woody” and Beverly Jane Heap Inghram.  On January 19, 1976, he married Kimberly K. Powell.  They later divorced.

Steve was a graduate of Media-Wever High School in Media, IL.  He served in the United States Navy from 1967 -1971.  He was a lifelong farmer in the Media area, and also was employed at Western Illinois University in Macomb for several years.  Steve enjoyed working on his farm, playing down in Heapville, and spending time with family and friends.  Steve lived in various areas over his years, including Burlington, Media, Puerto Rico, and the Florida Keys.

Survivors include three children, Travis (Amber) Inghram of Burlington, IA, Coco Inghram of Media, IL,  Thye (Molly) Inghram of Stronghurst, IL, five grandchildren, Chanel Inghram, Cash Cobb, Crew Cobb, Brylee Sue Inghram, and Beckett Jay Inghram, one brother, Bradley (Pam Parrish) Inghram of West Burlington, IA, and his significant other, Susan Evans of Media.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Cameron Riley Inghram.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday May 23, 2026 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst, followed by a service at 1:00 p.m.  Burial with Military Rites will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to a reception following the services at the reception hall at 122 South Broadway in Stronghurst.  There will be a Celebration Of Life at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026 at JB’s Sports Bar, 1201 Derek Lincoln Drive, West Burlington, IA.  Please visit Steve’s obituary at banksandbeals.com to leave a condolence.
