The rosters have been announced for the 52nd Annual Illinois High School Football Shrine Game. The game is scheduled for Saturday, June 20 at Tucci Stadium on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University. Kickoff is at 11:00 a.m., with pregame festivities beginning at 10:00 a.m. This prestigious all-star event will feature 97 of Illinois’ top high school football players, competing to support Shriners Children’s in Chicago and St. Louis, the official philanthropy of Shriners International. The mission of the Illinois High School Shrine Game is to provide a memorable experience for players, families, Shriners, and Shrine Kids while raising awareness and support for the life-changing care provided by Shriners Children’s. In 2025, the Illinois High School Shrine Game raised nearly $16,000, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting patient care programs at Shriners Children’s.
As usual, there are several local recently graduated players taking part. On the Blue team, Monmouth-Roseville linebacker Nick Huston and offensive lineman Brody Dodd will suit up. Both young men will be taking their talents to Monmouth College in the fall. Also on the Blue Team is Ridgewood’s Wes Sandberg and Elmwood/Brimfield’s Walter Lampe.
Local players on the Red Team are Orion quarterback Kale Filler and wide receiver Owen Voorhees. Filler will also be attending Monmouth College in the fall. There are several Three Rivers Athletic Conference athletes playing in the red jerseys. Joining the Orion duo are Sterling Newman’s George Jungerman, Spring Valley Hall’s Braden Curran, Riverdale’s Caen Beckett and E-P’s Gaven Adams. Farmington’s Kaydon Bollinger is also a member of the Red Team. Bollinger will also be a member of the Monmouth College Fighting Scots.
Admission to the game is $12 per person and tickets will be available at the gate. Event information can be found HERE.
