Clean-up efforts have been in full effect since the tornado ripped through Monmouth on June 17th.

Brayden Bledsoe, City of Monmouth Public Works Director, shares crews have already made one full pass-through town.

“We’ve actually done a full sweep of the town, done one pass so far, and of course, more brush will keep coming out, but we’ve done one pass to clear up the boulevards. The guys will continue to work to go back over things until hopefully we get everything cleaned up. I’m very impressed with the street department, the volunteers, and the contractors the city has hired. I really think the town has been cleaned up fairly well for as little time as it’s been.”

Bledsoe says crews will continue working through town as more brush and cleanup needs come in.
