In their 96th year, the Monmouth Municipal Band has brought generations of musicians together to share their love of music, exclaims Business Manager Joy Boostrom:

“We are a community-based band, primarily Warren and Knox Counties, but we have players that come from all over though. We are very multi-generational. Our first concert we had two young men that just graduated high school who are playing with us, we have some Monmouth College students that live close by, and we have people in their mid-70s. Music is something that you can continue doing, whether you are singing or playing an instrument, your whole life.”

Upcoming performances by the Monmouth Municipal Band are Thursday, June 11th at the First Lutheran Church at 6 pm, Thursday, June 18th at Harmon Park at 6 pm, Saturday, July 4th at the Monmouth Municipal Airport at 8:30 am, and Thursday, July 9th at Strom Center at 6 pm.
