On Saturday, July 4th, the Monmouth Flying Club is hosting a 4th of July Fly-In Breakfast event at the Monmouth Municipal Airport. Secretary Brian Daw explains more information
“We have our 4th of July breakfast that’s been going on since 1966, that’s our biggest event of the year. Up to this year, it’s kind of been our only real event; we just decided to branch out with a couple more this year. For the fly-in breakfast, we’ll have a big spread. We usually have 80 to 90 planes fly in for that if the weather’s good. Last year, I think we served about 950 people. So, that’s a big one!”
“We’re planning three events this year, just trying to get people out more times to the airport, instead of just thinking about us once a year.”
The 4th of July Breakfast event is the Monmouth Flying Club’s biggest event of the year.
