State Senator Neil Anderson (R-Andalusia) is inviting students across the 47th Senate District to participate in his 2026 Summer Reading Program.

The program is open to students entering grades 1 through 12. Participants who complete the challenge by July 31 will receive an official certificate of recognition from the Illinois Senate.

“Summer break is a great time for students to keep learning and set goals for themselves,” said Senator Anderson. “This program gives kids an opportunity to challenge themselves and be recognized for their hard work.”

To complete the program, students must read eight books during their summer break and submit a completed reading form by the deadline. Participation is free, and students may choose books that match their age and interests.

Families can find program details and submit participation forms online at https://senatorneilanderson.com/event/summer-reading-2026/

For additional information, contact Senator Anderson’s district office at (309) 230-7584.
