Over 30,000 spectators and 3,500 cars are anticipated to fill the streets during the 26th Maple City Street Machines Monmouth Cruise Night, rescheduled for Friday, August 7th. Club President Clifford Adams breaks down the decision:
“We had a phone meeting with the Car Club members, and we are going to hold a vote on whether to proceed with the Car Cruise or not. My big fear if we have the car cruise on Friday and the storm comes, the threat of thunderstorms and somebody getting struck by lightning. We don’t want to see anyone getting hurt. We don’t want the public in danger. Of course, if we get bad weather, that is going to deter people from coming to the Car Cruise.”
The 26th Maple City Street Machines Monmouth Cruise Night will take place Friday, August 7th from 4 to 8 pm.
