According to Monmouth Mayor Rod Davies, stop signs are going to be placed at the intersection of North 5th Street and East Clinton Avenue:
“The residents had gotten together and come to Council and made their request to put a stop sign there because of restricted visibility at that intersection and a lot of children playing out in the street in that area. Council granted that at the last meeting and drafted the ordinance and Council did approve that ordinance. In two weeks, I think is the time frame that it takes for that ordinance to take effect, they will have stop signs at North 5th and East Clinton.”
Additionally, Mayor Davies informs City Council approved the attorney to draft an ordinance of a packaged liquor license, following the request of a resident looking to open a liquor convenience store.
