Whether you have changed jobs, moved, or had a baby, you may qualify to enroll in a health insurance plan during this Special Enrollment Period in Illinois, explains Hannah Alecock, a Health Insurance Navigator with Eagle View Community Health System:

“Right now, we are in Special Enrollment Period for people who have experienced a qualifying life event. A lot of people think they can’t get in until Open Enrollment, but they can now for certain events, that can be losing employer coverage, loss of Medicaid, having a baby, getting married, getting divorced, moving, those sorts of things. The big thing with that is there is a 60 day window to meet with that, but having documentation on your reason for Special Enrollment is important.”

Meanwhile, Eagle View Community Health System recently held their annual golf tournament where nearly $7,000 was raised to support their Mobile Dental Unit.
