Right now, a number of dogs are in need of homes as shelters and rescues are reaching capacity. Warren County Animal Control Officer Becca Livingston says adoptions are available for $150:
“I have great dogs at the shelter that need homes. We are adopting them for $150. That means spayed, neutered, vaccinated, and tagged. I have Damon, I have a black and white lab/pitbull mix one to two year old male, I have a brindle female pit mix that is two to three years old, and then I have a white with black spots and tri-colored face that is an Aussie mix male one to two years old. He will actually be going to WIAR.”
Livingston reports she is currently working on year number four of a no kill shelter from Best Friends Animal Society. Meanwhile, Western Illinois Animal Rescue also has a number of cats and dogs available for adoption, which can be seen on their Facebook page.
