With construction of the new Warren County Law Enforcement Center underway, Sheriff Martin Edwards says interviews are taking place in planning ahead for the added staff:
“We are always on the hunt for Correctional Officers. As I have talked with the Warren County Board, at the advent of the new Law Enforcement Center, we will have to increase staffing. We are getting ahead of that now. We have been interviewing. I know that the pay frankly isn’t very attractive, but I would note that we are at the end of this contract with the employees. The new one is coming in December. I have to believe there will be some movement in that. We have to stay competitive with our neighboring counties. I am hoping that this new Law Enforcement Center is going to make it a much better work environment for our people.”
