The Midwest Conference football coaches convened at Monmouth College last Thursday for preseason interviews. It was Monmouth’s turn to host the event this year. This was in accordance with the MWC football coach’s preseason poll that was released earlier in the week. As expected, coming off a very successful season last year, Monmouth was ranked at the top of the list.

Monmouth received votes in the D3football.com preseason poll. The Fighting Scots open up their season at home against perennial power Wartburg College on Saturday night, September 5th at 7:00 at April Zorn Memorial Stadium. Wartburg is #9 in the preseason poll. Monmouth’s week 2 opponent will be a first-ever match up against Hampden-Sydney on the road in Virginia. The Tigers were (7-3) in 2025.
Midwest Conference play starts in week 3 for the Fighting Scots at Cornell College. Homecoming is set for October 10th vs. Midwest Conference newcomer Luther College. The Turkey Bowl against Knox College will be in Galesburg on November 14th.
