This Wednesday, August 12th, the Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development are holding their Annual Meeting at the Galesburg Community Arts Center. President Ken Springer previews this year’s keynote speakers:
“This year we really wanted to get into the topic of communications and how regions can really tell their stories to the wider world. We have great keynote speakers; Colleen Callahan and Kelsey Litchfield. I’m sure a lot of people are going to know Colleen from her long career on WMBD radio and television in Peoria. Later she was the first female president of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting and was an Illinois State Director and USDA Rural Development and later led the Illinois Department of Natural Resources,” shares Springer.
“Kelsey Litchfield works with Colleen. Kelsey herself has a bachelors degree in Ag Communications and Broadcast Journalism. They are going to focus on how communities can really tell their story, how they can collaborate, communicate, and connect with the outside world,” Springer adds.
