It has been a busy summer of capital improvements on the Monmouth College campus, according to Vice President for Development and College Relations Hannah Maher:
“It has been a really active time on campus this summer. One of the biggest things that a lot of folks may have just observe, is what isn’t there anymore. On the corner of Euclid and 9th Street, the fraternity complex has come down. That was something that the college decided we didn’t have a current need for any longer. It will be green space as the final pieces are getting bulldozed and removed. That was a generous gift from a donor to help us take care of that,” reports Maher.
“As we think about what has happened with our fraternities, we have two new chapter houses that are taking shape on Broadway. One for Sigma Phi Epsilon. It is ready for move in. Those men will move in the fall, and we will do a formal dedication at our Homecoming. Then the Zeta Beta Tau Chapter, they are on Broadway as well and should be completed at the end of the calendar year,” Maher adds.
The First Day of Classes for Monmouth College students is Wednesday, August 26th.
