A catalyst for collective action, philanthropy, and transformative change, the Galesburg Community Foundation connects resources and funding throughout Knox, Warren, and Henderson Counties, according to President and CEO Josh Gibb:
“These three counties have more similarities than maybe they want to admit at times. Being able to take the efficiency of these organizations and take their work across the three counties, rather than have to replicate, like the services of CASA three times, you have one organization that has the infrastructure to serve not just these three counties, but even a larger area than Knox, Warren, and Henderson. It is great and I think smart for a rural area like ours.”
During the most recent Turnout grant cycle, the Galesburg Community Foundation awarded more than $565,000 to local nonprofits.
