It has been a great start to the school year for the second and third grade students at Harding Primary School in the Monmouth-Roseville School District as attendance in August was the highest seen in the last three years, according to Counselor Megan Thornton:
“The start of the year is always my favorite because that is where the magic happens. You get to meet new faces, whether it is staff or students. Our attendance has been a really big, exciting part of our year because in the last three years, this August has had the highest percentage, over 96 percent of our students being here for all of those days in August. Those days that are hot, getting back into the grind of things, tend to be the days that are hard to get back into the swing. We definitely want to celebrate that as we keep going through the months.”
Harding Primary School was recognized as the WMOI/WRAM What’s New School Highlights for September, made possible through partnerships with MTC Communications, Advanced Plumbing and Mechanical, the Regional Office of Education #33, and Flowers Are Us.
