The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of a scam going around, where the caller states you missed jury duty or court. The caller may be claiming to be a law enforcement officer. The caller may demand payment for a fine or you will be arrested. The call may originate in our local area code, or the number could even be spoofed to look like the number to the local law enforcement agency.
As with any suspicious or unsolicited call, do not provide bank or personal information, or make arrangements to send money or go buy gift cards. The best defense is to hang up.
