Jamieson Community Center is currently accepting applications for their Community Christmas Store and Christmas Baskets, which help local families enjoy the holidays with support from the local community, shares Executive Director Nancy Mowen:
“Midwest Bank is doing the Angel Tree again this year. We have an online format now, where people can sign up to adopt an angel. The sign ups have been really busy. If people would like to help support us in this endeavor, the gifts range from a new outfit, hats, waterproof gloves, we have some coats, large toys, stocking stuffers, and books,” informs Mowen.
“We purchase the clothing. If someone would like to help with the clothing, it costs around $25 a child. We want to make sure that all kids have appropriate clothing, socks, and underwear,” Mowen adds.
Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, November 25th. For more information, stop by the Monmouth Resource Center at 1025 South 2nd Street.
