As deer are more active this time of the year, Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards is reminding motorists to stay alert and use caution when traveling on area roadways:
“This happens at night typically and you are not going to see them until you are right on top of them, but at least during the daytime, be watchful for that. It can happen. If your vehicle is driveable, still call for a desk report. If you are not driveable then obviously we are going to have to come out and assist you. Keep those seatbelts on and distracted driving doesn’t help.”
As of last Thursday, Sheriff Edwards informs three deer strike accidents had been reported in Warren County, with one being a patrol car.
