In the midst of grant season, Warren Achievement Center Marketing Coordinator Sean Cavanaugh shares the progress of the new Community Day Services facility addition, plus a local grant received to support the achievers:
“We are adding a 4,700 square foot addition to the south side of that location. We have already had the ground leveled and compaction rock has been put down. Morton Buildings is going to be putting up the building, and we have local contractors doing a great deal of work there. We need to come up with at least $1.3 million, and we have raised a ton to purchase the current facility, rehab the whole thing, but we are right on target. If things fall where I think they will, we are set. It is going to be very exciting,” states Cavanaugh.
“Running a non-profit, you have to have operational success to be able to operate at a high level, but you also have to have fundraising success. We would also like to thank the Galesburg Community Foundation for their Turnout grant for community integration,” Cavanaugh adds.
The community integration program with Warren Achievement Center provides the achievers with the opportunity to visit a variety of events and locations they may otherwise not be able to experience.
