Local NRCS District Conservationist Cathy Froelich Says CRP Warm and Cool Grasses Seeding Season is Now

Seeding for warm season and cool season grasses is ongoing right now within the Conservation Reserve Program says local NRCS District Conservationist Cathy Froelich:

“Cool season cutoff is May 10th and warm season in June 5th. So, with that being said, it is time to get your seed. You need to keep your seed tags and provide an invoice for the purchase of the seed to myself or the FSA. Then if you have a seed bed preparation, a cost to run your equipment, labor, all of that is reimbursable from the CRP program. Get us your bills, but most importantly though is to keep your seed tags. If you are ordering it from a company, have the company send that information directly to me.”

Seed tags and invoices can be dropped off at the USDA office in Monmouth at 701 North Main Street.
