Monmouth-Roseville Students Spreading Virtuous Acts Well Beyond the District

During the recent Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Ed Fletcher highlighted good items going on within the district. Students at Harding and Central participated in the American Heart Association Kid’s Heart Challenge; $890 was raised at Harding while $415 was raised at Central. Furthermore, Superintendent Fletcher shared several High School students are working as mentors at the other buildings:

“We have a couple of High School kids at Harding. Ray Heinrich is there a couple hours a week; Caleb Miller and Bryson Hall are at Harding as well. It is really cool to have kids to go talk to the Harding kids. I don’t know if High School kids understand how much the little kids look up to them. Getting to spend some time with the kids and talking to the kids, it is a cool opportunity for the high school folks. We are hoping we can hopefully get some kids that want to go into teaching after talking to kids because I think they will find that forging that relationship can have lasting effects.”

At Monmouth-Roseville High School, 54 units of blood was collected during the Student Council’s Blood Drive and the Titans Polar Plunge team, benefitting the local Special Olympics Region F, raised $4,052.
