Regina ” Jean ” Rose Noonan, age 93, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 1:51 am on Thursday October 12, 2023 at Alure of Knox County Nursing Home. Jean was born on January 5, 1930 in Galesburg, Illinois and is the daughter of Ward and Irene (Dudrick) Noonan. Jean attended Horn Beck Grade School and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1948. After her graduation, Jean attended St. Francis School of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois for three years earning her Registered Nursing Degree. Jean dedicated her life to helping people. She was employed at Wesley Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and hospitals in New Orleans, San Francisco, and Atlanta, Georgia. Her nursing career spanned over fifty years. Jean loved to travel, live theatre, dogs, and bird watching. Her favorite flower were roses and her favorite singer was Daniel O’Donnell. She loved caramel candy. 
Jean is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in her death by parents, Ward and Irene, and her siblings, Dick Noonan, Daniel Noonan, Kathleen Tadie, Patricia Holt, Theresa Darwin, Betty Anderson, and Dolores Noonan. 

A graveside service for the committal of her cremated remains is planned on Saturday October 28, 2023 at 10:30 am at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery in Monmouth, Illinois. A memorial fund is being established in her memory for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of the local arrangements.
